ENCOURAGING ACTIVE BODIES
NURTURING ACTIVE MINDS
Active Attitudes delivers programs to over 10,000+ participants each year throughout Australia.
After some time in the industry we identified and came to appreciate, sport as we traditionally know it, isn't for everyone. Recognising mental wellness for our children and youth is just as important as physical health.
Our mission to "encourage ACTIVE bodies, while nurturing ACTIVE minds" sets the tone to enable our future generations with the skills and tools to a greater balance in wellbeing.
Our Founders
JD
Director, Program Development, Coach
Having played AFL at the highest level, Coached in the VFL with North Melbourne and currently coaching with GWS Academy program, JD's coaching philosophy is underpinned by his belief that athletes function best when they achieve a balance between their sport and other areas of their life.
Owning & running his own sport clinics business for the past 10 years he recognised both mental and physical health in young people go hand in hand and are paramount in encouraging confident kids, enabling young adults to manage in todays society. A background in social work allowed him to transfer these skills to our clinics program.
Kaz
Director, Program Development, Facilitator
With a background in the health and fitness industry, Karen has worked with 100s of clients over the years assisting them in reaching their goals. Specialising in both nutrition and mindset, Karen works with clients on wellbeing techniques to restructure long built negative habits and values.
Working more and more with younger clients, Karen recognised a missing factor in our society being that whilst we are promoting health and activity in the physical sense, we must also build strength and wellbeing mentally in the young people of our world to ensure we create a healthier future for our youth of today and in turn our adults of tomorrow.
